For those who celebrate Christmas, we at the Mixed bag wish you a Feliz Navidad! May you enjoy the the day with the company of friends & family. If that’s not possible or that’s not your jam, we hope you enjoy those alternative sources of happiness- whether it be quiet solitude, TV specials, good food, music, remembrance of a loved one or two, volunteering your time for the less fortunate, etc. But please be safe in your endeavors!
What are your Christmas traditions or happenings? Anything fun, humiliating, boring?
Our household goes by the Mexican tradition of celebrating on the 24th, and open presents at 9 PM. We have an abundance of little kids in the family, so we don’t want them to get cranky with the night. We usually have tamales for food, and lots of chisme to go around. Nothing like gossiping around the Christmas tree. Those Mexican Christmas/Thanksgiving memes & twitter posts are not lying. Oh, and most short-sleeve cause Texas weather.
Also- those tuning in to our holiday tunes, we hope you are enjoying them! They’ll be playing 24/7 until the 26. We will be adding to the batch later tonight. More music from more familiar voices. We got a few requests in, so those will be popping up as well.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Its always sad when shows closes on The Great White Way. The end of the year tends to mark the end of a show’s run on Broadway (and Off-Broadway). Today, I’d like to look back on a few musicals, and just provide a few snippets of my thoughts. I’m mostly just rambling & fangirling about shows I really like.
